The Chapel Dulcinea Wedding Venue is small, but shouldn’t go unnoticed. Chapel Dulcina sits at the edge of an ancient walking trail and is located 20 minutes soutwest of Austin, Texas. Should I have known that this was an option when I was getting married, there’s no doubt I would have had it here!

The venue is open everyday 8:00AM – 8:00PM, except for New Years Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. It is an outdoor venue without any air conditioning, and you are at the mercy of the weather. I would image the best times to have your wedding here would be in the early days of fall or later in spring, for the best weather. It’s also joined by a small pavilion for the reception.
The spanish tile roofing is a lovely touch that fits in with the earth tones of the surrounding terrain. If you’re coordinating your wedding or elopement colors I’d recommend going with earth tones, to make everything cohesive in your photos!
Based on my best judgement, I’d say that you wouldn’t want your guest list to be over 30 people. There’s plenty of room outside where people can stand, but they may be stuck in the sun or with a small window to see you through.
One of the coolest feature about this venue is the bell. Not a lot of wedding venues have a fun differentiator, but it is a custom to have every couple ring the bell once they’ve been announced husband and wife! It’s an entertaining way to end the wedding ceremony!
You would also want to consider when the sun is setting. Without any other lights, other than the fire lamps pictured above, you want to be sure you and your guest can see at the wedding! Being stuck to natural light isn’t necessarily a bad thing though. You would be able to get pretty dynamic shots because of the fact that the chapel is facing west, towards the sunset!
Speaking of the west, above the view from the chapel. It oversees the beautiful hill country and can be the perfect view for your guest to enjoy as they wait for the precesion!
